Kathleen is a trained facilitator of Amherst Writers and Artists (AWA) writing workshops. She runs virtual writing groups on Zoom, and in-person groups in Columbus, Ohio.
She trained in the Amherst Writers and Artists method in 2016 to share her love of writing and writing workshops with others. She chose the AWA method because it’s the safest, most nurturing workshop method she’s come across, and works for writers of all experience levels and backgrounds. Writing is for everyone and can be fun for anyone in the right environment. That’s the kind of environment Kathleen strives to create for her writing groups.
Testimonials from previous workshop members:
“Kathleen is a gentle, wise guide and facilitator who helped us nurture and truly stretch our writing voices. She provided a vibrant space where we as writers with very different voices could appreciate and learn from each other. I can’t wait for her next class!” – Jennifer K.
“Kathleen provides evocative prompts that make it easy to get words on the page (or screen). She manages to keep us on task and on time without it being noticeable. The sessions have been enjoyable and engaging, and I have starts I can turn into poems.” – Rebecca G.
